The Cops are the “Good Guys” Right?

When I was little we were always taught that the cops were  the “good guys” charged with protecting the public.  Videos like the one below shatter that theory.

In the video below, cops forced a driver out of his vehicle and handcuff him.  While the citizen is lying on the ground totally harmless and defenseless, a local municipal police officer runs in and kicks him full in the face causing severe injuries.  Please be advised, the video is graphic.

What is doubly disturbing is that the driver would have been convicted of drunk driving if it was not for his determined attorney.  Vinita Oklahoma Attorney Josh Lee is one of the very best in the business.  He made sure the police were held accountable by obtaining the dash cam video and using it to expose the truth.  Getting the arrest video may sound rather basic, but you would be surprised by how many DUI attorneys never even bother to review the video evidence.

This case clearly illustrates why citizens should have their case reviewed by a trained and qualified attorney.  There are bad cops. There are good cops.  Unfortunately, this is not an isolated case.  WHat makes it unusual is that it was on tape.  Cops can lie, make false police reports, abuse, plant evidence and even commit perjury. Because they show up to the courtroom wearing a uniform, everyone believes them.

If you believe your rights were violated by the police then contact a trained and experienced attorney to fight your case.  In Central Pennsylvania, please call 1-866-MCSHANE.
